"My business card design project"
Designing my business card, as a part of the brand, is a project that would help me to represent myself and establish contacts within my professional network.

A business card is a comfortable tool that helps any specialist to represent itself and leave necessary contact information. At first sight creating a business card is a quite simple task, however my concept of the design and the design approach have proved opposite.

There are so many wonderful creations of business cards. I reviewed some of them and used it as my inspiration.

Business card designs vary according to forms, it's functionalities, types and styles. I decided to chose more classical option, with a fusion of minimalism and modernity.

Before proceeding with the actual design, I researched what technical requirements are necessarily for a business card. The border lines below are under "typographic" group of technical characteristics. Here are the explanations for the main lines. Safety line - all text should be within it's border. Bleed are - all elements that reach the line should extend over it. Trim marks - the lines where a business card will be cut after it is printed.

The next step was sketching and drawing a few options for my future card.

I continue to follow my brand style and thus I used same color palette, typography and the logo.

One of the design solutions for my business card was creating a QR code that would open my website, where users can find my contact information, as well as my design work.

I took a part of the logo - an interpreted letter that looks like a fish, and incorporated it to the interface of my business card. Thus, it supports the brand consistency, as well as gives live vibes to the design.

I plan to use letterpress printing technique, that would cover border of the logo and some of the text.

Below you can see how the business card would look in the real life.
